15th September 2004 - Media Launch @ the Colonnade

The red carpets were rolled out at the Colonnade for the launch of Perth Fashion Festival 2004. State Premier of Western Australia, Dr Geoff Gallop, announced WA's Designer of the Year, Ray Costarella. Nominated by industry peers, Ray Costarella has been acknowledged for his enormous contribution to WA's fashion industry. A $5000 cash prize was part of the winning prizes, a Costarella design was also buried in a time capsule in front of the Colonnade. It'll be interesting to see the reactions of the public 100 years or so later when they dig it up. Hopefully, they'll still be wearing fabrics by then!

17th Sept 2004 --VIP Launch Party @ Onyx Lounge Bar presented by Stuart Anderson

Rebellious chicks in sexy bikinis lusciously strutted their stuff on a catwalk dirtied with graffiti. Models included a 7-year-old flashed rude gestures at guests. A parade routine going wrong? Not likely, in fact it was purposely a controversial show designed to grab the headlines, and it worked brilliantly! Stuart Anderson reinvented himself (and challenged the establishment) by transforming his upmarket and elegant swimwear collections to this sexy funky collection. WARNING!!! "Punk Ass" needed to wear any of these.
